With the installation of the new SMART Panels, one unexpected feature is the automatic brightness setting.  Many have noticed while working at the panel, the display will brighten or dim frequently.  This is due to a light sensor on the front of the panel.  Follow these steps to disable this feature:

  1. Press the menu button on the SMART Panel (not the remote)
  2. Select Advanced on the left side menu
  3. Select “Brightness & Volume” on right side list
  4. Select Brightness
  5. Select Manuel
    1. Adjust brightness level if necessary
  6. Exit (left size menu)

This will stop the panel from dimming or brightening due to shadows crossing in front of the light sensor.
